Fruit Bowl
Josef Albers, 1923

Josef Albers assembled his fruit bowl using industrial products like chrome, glass and brass. He reduced its form to elementary components such as the sphere and the circle. Although decades passed before the bowl went into serial production, it fulfilled the Bauhaus’s requirements for industrial production.
