As with his colour design for the university clinic in Münster in 1924, Scheper pursued the goal of developing a guidance system based on the assignment of chromatic values to the functional areas of the Bauhaus Building. The key on the bottom left describes the colour code whereby, for example, the control centre of the Bauhaus, the director’s office, was assigned the colour red to reflect its significance.
