The elegant tea infuser MT 49 was made by the Bauhaus student Marianne Brandt in 1924, her first academic year. She attended the metal workshop and was trained by its master, László Moholy-Nagy. The use of expensive materials such as silver and ebony was often criticised at the Bauhaus.
