with Isaac Spencer and Matthias Markstein
This event is part of Bauhaus and America.
When?
Sun, 10.03.2019 | 16:00 - 17:00
What?
Performance, Dance
Choreographers Isaac Spencer and Matthias Markstein address the topic of materiality and texture in their performance which is part of the exhibition “Bauhaus and America. Experiments in Light and Movement”.
In two locations in the foyer, the two dancers explore the space in different ways. In dialogue with fabric, they play with weight and resistance and not only shape the space through their bodies. In constant negotiation with the material the moves develop as an open process. The measurement and the exploration of the proportions, the spatial areas and the own body, but also the distance or the proximity to the observer are the central approaches.
